Led by owner and head stylist Tina Lee, Straight by Tina Lee is a full-service salon for both men and women. Available services include haircuts, perms, coloring, and style, while their specialty lies in the art of Japanese hair straightening. During the session, the hair is shampooed before a pre-treatment is applied to protect and prepare hair to receive the straightening solution. Then, a solution is applied to the hair to break down protein bonds that can cause hair to become tangled or frizzy, resulting in straighter, smoother hair. A plastic wrap is placed at the roots to separate from the hair strands, and the client relaxes in their chair until the process is complete.
