Located in the hip Commercial Drive neighborhood of Vancouver, Lear Faye seems to crackle with energy. While live music or house vinyls play, guests spread out across the intimate room, which is adorned with fir wood and raw steel, or head to the covered, heated patio that’s separated from the main room only by a roll-up door.

Patrons here during dinner dig into French, Latin, and Mediterranean sharing pates made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients whenever possible. The vegetarian- and vegan-friendly menu showcases small plates such as butternut and acorn squash roasted with garlic, chilies, toasted pecans, and agave. It also includes dishes such as lamb brioche sliders and boeuf bourguignon, which pair with whiskey and inventive coffee cocktails.

Lear Faye hosts patrons for brunch, too, and it was named one of the brunch spots by Xtra Living. Vancouver Magazine called it one of the top five coffee shops in Vancouver.
