Ana V, owner of the eponymous Ana V Beauty, doesn’t believe in makeup as a cover-up. Everything she teaches and practices in her own life centers around the principle of using the best products to highlight a woman’s natural beauty. Her classes welcome groups to learn makeup techniques and styles for occasions from red-carpet events to bank heists, and she teaches fundamental techniques such as creating cat eyes with eyeliner, blush application, and proper use of mascara. Customers can then go on to attend her master classes, which teach timeless looks and advanced techniques such as liquid-liner and individual- and strip-lash application. Ana V teaches a variety of skills, allowing women to learn techniques for both daytime and nighttime looks. The recently-renovated studio is something to behold—with its warm, cosmopolitan atmosphere, it provides high-class luxury for the everyday.
