Norman Rothstein Theatre 950 West 41st Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2N7 (2 miles)

The plot: Marietta, Georgia, is a town divided in 1913—and those divisions lead to unspeakable ends when Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager, is accused of assaulting and murdering a young employee. Based on a real-life trial, Parade examines the nature of prejudice and the darkest corners of human nature.
The music: Parade’s music, penned by Jason Robert Brown, won multiple Tony and Drama Desk Awards. The score ranges from the bubbling optimism of “The Picture Show” to the wrenching heartache of “All the Wasted Time.”
The crew: Fighting Chance Productions founder Ryan Mooney directs, with Clare Wyatt as music director, Adriana Ravalli as choreographer, and Henry Beasley as assistant director.
