Whale-watching is at the Tofino location.

Jamie’s Whaling Station & Adventure Centres has escorted passengers on aquatic whale- and bear-spotting journeys and sightseeing excursions through local springs for nearly three decades. Whale-watching tours traverse sheltered inlets and open ocean for two to three hours in search of gray whales, humpback whales, and transient orcas as knowledgeable crew members elucidate facts about each sighted breed, such as its habits and favourite scene in Moby Dick. Alternatively, two- to three-hour bear-watching tours navigate low tides to catch glimpses of black bears roaming shores in search of rock crabs. Six-hour Hot Springs Cove jaunts pilot patrons 26 nautical miles from the Tofino coast to observe the marine marvel and the tributes to Elvis it draws with its steam. While there, adventurers walk through the ancient rainforest and spend up to two hours soaking in the pools.

An extensive fleet boasting 65-foot vessels, a 45-foot covered zodiac, and 35-foot cabin cruiser transports customers within intimate ranges of the animals while still maintaining respectful distances. In addition to free parking, Jamie’s Whaling Station also supplies complimentary dog kennels, walks, and conversation about why cats are nothing but trouble for canine companions while their human pals explore the ocean.
